Wreck Loose

From the first, forceful moments of their live shows, Pittsburgh’s Wreck Loose announce themselves as heirs to the tradition of loud, thoughtful, quirky rock that dominated AM radio in the 70s. Max Somerville (keys; vocals), Nathan Zoob (guitar), Derek Krystek (drums) and Dave Busch (bass) marry big rhythms, bright piano and crunchy analog guitar tones to off-beat lyrics that make the mythic and historic, personal.

Formed in 2013, Wreck Loose has been featured on WYEP, The X and WQED. Their new single “Long Time Listener, First Time Caller” is in regular rotation on WDVE and their debut LP “OK, Wreck Loose” (available now) premiered in American Songwriter Magazine, which had this to say: “[Wreck Loose] combine the sonic aesthetics of the best of classic rock radio with confessional, often humorous lyrics, to an effect that lands the band somewhere between Elton John and early Drive-By Truckers.”

The band played the festival in 2015, and we’re delighted to welcome them back.
