We’re delighted to announce the final show in the Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield Free Summer Concert Series — Beauty Slap with special guest Neon Belly! This festival afterparty show is set for Sat., Aug. 9.
Beauty Slap is a genre-defying powerhouse that fuses thunderous brass, sultry keys, and infectious electronic grooves to create their signature sound, self-described as “future-brass-thunder-funk.”
Since forming in 2017, Beauty Slap has been making waves with their electrifying performances in clubs all over the country – from performing on the racetrack at the Indy 500 to alongside the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. With most of the members now serving as professors, they’ve also been sharing their knowledge and passion for music at colleges across the country.
Neon Belly: This new, Johnstown-based act consists of Randy Penrod and Elias Ghantous; formerly of Afro N’at, with Hayden Jeffreys and brothers Nathan & Dylan Jackson; formerly of The Platelets.
