Gunnar & the Grizzly Boys

Gunnar & The Grizzly Boys are “country music with a Michigan root”, says band leader Gunnar Nyblad. And the band is ready to show off the diverse songs on its new album, Good Rhythm.

The band came together in ’09 when Nyblad went to the Michigan State University Agricultural School to learn how to run his families’ apple orchard farms. There, he met lead guitarists Shane Grehan and Chris Newberg and drummer Joe Connolly, then introduced them to his high school buddy, bassist Rob Mason.

GGB’s first show was opening for Justin Moore that year and since then their high-energy show has shared the stage with Florida Georgia Line, Brantley Gilbert, Colt Ford, Kid Rock and many more, including David Allen Coe.

SiriusXM’s The Highway has played GGB’s “Standard American” over 250 times, exposing the band’s sound to its listeners. The reaction was immediate with almost 40,000 downloads now sold in the US and Canada.
